OKOROCHA TO DOWNSIZE LOCAL GOVT STAFF

Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha on Tuesday March 3, announced what appears to be his Easter message to the people of the state when he announced his plans to down size the staff of the Local Government Authorities by Fifty percent.

The Governor who made this disclosure while addressing the Leadership of “Olu Okigwe, Owerri peoples Assembly and Olu Zuru Mee” at the Heroes square also said that henceforth any government parastatal which is unable to pay its stuff will also be closed down.

According to him, the present administration has already concluded arrangements for the construction of a five star hotel in Orlu and Okiwe Zones just like the Imo Concorde Hotel, in Owerri Zone.

This will be in addition to the construction of general hospitals and cultural centers in all the wards in the State and solicited for the continued support of the people from the three Zones of the State to enable his administration to succeed.

Okorocha made it clear, that despite all the distractions since assumption of office that his motto is forward ever and backward never.
