HEARTLAND PLAYERS HOPEFULL OF THEIR ENTILLEMENTS AHEAD OF TOMORROWS TIE WITH PRIME FC.


Fresh reports have now emerged on the much talked about non – payment of Heartland players remaining sign on fees.

The players who departed the shores of Owerri on Monday morning were in high hopes, after having what looked like a fruitful discussion with the handlers and the sports Commissioner, Comm. Kenneth Emelu.

The number one citizen of the state, His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha had on Saturday revealed to the players that 40% of their remaining sign on fee had been signed and released to the appropriate quarters.

On hearing the news, the players decided to back down from embarking on their trip toIlorinon Sunday in other to sort out the issue with the management and the Commissioners office.

Meanwhile, reports’ reaching Imo Trumpeta indicates that the money had not reached the players as confirmed by team captain, Chinedu Efugh.

“We have not received anything, although they have promised to pay us this week and we believe in their promises as we focus on wining our match on Wednesday,” Efugh stated.

Heartland is billed to take on Prime FC tomorrow atIlorinin one of the Semi – final games of this year’s federation cup.

The final will take place in Lagoson the 26th of August at the Tesslim Balogun stadium.
