Police Nab Car Thief Kingpin In Imo, Fake Soldier, Others

The Imo State Police Command has nabbed a suspected car theft kingpin, one Kelechi Ogbonna ‘m’ who hails from Amaeze Isiagu in Ivo LGA of Ebonyi State, lives at No.8 Bus stop, old Nekede Road Owerri.
Briefing Newsmen yesterday, the Imo State Acting Commissioner of Police, Dave Akinremi who is the DCP incharge of Administration informed that the 32 year-old suspected car theft kingpin specializes on removing cars from where they are parked while his men through a tip off arrested him as he was attempting to steal a red colour Honda CRV jeep with registration No-LND-768-BL belonging to one Ihewuba Ogozie of N0.3 Umez Eronini Street, Ikenegbu Layout, Owerri.
Items recovered from him include, one master key and a spanner.
In the same vein, the police Command also paraded a suspected fake soldier named Samuel Ngozie ‘m’, a native of Isiala Ngwa South LGA of Abia State who claimed to be a senior Nigeria Army officer of the rank of Major while terrorizing citizens of Nekede where he lives.
According to the Acting CP, “the suspect was arrested in Army uniform and has been found to be a fake Army officer. He will be charged to court after investigation for impersonation and attempt to commit felony”.
Meanwhile, over 15 suspected armed robbers/ kidnappers, child traffickers, rapist and a syndicate who specializes in vandalizing and selling of PHCN cables have been gnashing their teeth inside cell at the state Police Command.
Some of them are; Kelechi Ihemegbulam ‘m’ 22yrs old, a graduate of information science in Abia state who is deadly confraternity ‘Brotherhood’ and has been recorded in the wanted list of the Police Command for his involvement in the murder of several persons within and around Imo State as well as cult related activities.
One locally made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from him.
One Izuchukwu Unamadu alias ‘Obodonka’ ‘m’ aged 23yrs of Oudumiri Ubulu Ezinamba in Oru West LGA of Imo State believed to be a member of a 3 man syndicate responsible for the kidnap of one Chidiebere Nwokocha ‘m’ aged 28yrs of Umuayachu Ubulu in Oru West LGA.
Items recovered from the suspect include; two single barrel short guns, one Dane gun and six (six rounds of live cartridges).
