The office of the Secretary to Imo State Government has raised alarm over an attempt by yet to be identified fraudsters to use the office and the name of the Secretary to the State Government Sir Jude Ejiogu to defraud unsuspecting public.
A statement issued by the office of the Secretary to the State Government and signed by the Special Assistant on Media and publicity, Ikenna Onuoha, absolved the SSG’s office of any knowledge and involvement in the purported Agric loan scheme.
“The scammer not wise
enough claimed to be the Chief of staff and Commissioner for Special Duties in Imo State, with little or no information that Sir Jude Ejiogu is now the secretary to the State Government of Imo State.
For the avoidance of doubt, Sir Jude Ejiogu is the Secretary to the Government of Imo State (SGI) and has seized to be the Chief of Staff and Commissioner for Special Duties since June 8th, 2015 when he was sworn in for his new position”.
Continuing the statement averred, “The general public genuine Sir Jude Ejiogu with the intention of negotiating, dealing or transacting any business whatsoever on the internet or social media platforms”
Is by this refutal warned to desist from further reception of information of any kind from the said impostor, any individual or group of persons claiming to be the genuine Sir Jude Ejiogu with the intention of negotiating, dealing or transacting any business whatsoever on the internet or social media platforms”
Onuoha made it clear that Sir Jude Ejiogu in his capacity as the Secretary to the State Government could not have circulated any information about the Ministry when it is the sole duty of the Ministry of Agriculture.
