Hon Ugonna Ozurigbo, the Member representing Nwangele State Constituency at the Imo State House of Assembly, travelled to the United States of America to appreciate Nwangele people and Imolites in general for their support to him and the governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, during the just concluded general elections in which they came out victorious.
Speaking from the States, the youthful IMHA Member revealed that he was in the USA to solicit support from Imolites residing in the States to partner with the state government in order to promote development through the establishment of industries and factories which he said will provide jobs.
The lawmaker pointed out that his trip has not been futile as it was yielding result, explaining that he has been able to attract three investors who shall be coming home with him to negotiate with the state government in the hope of investing in health and medical equipment.
The hosts, Prince Iyke Azike and Dr Perry Ekwunazu were delighted on the visit of Hon Ozurigbo as they indicated that the visit was worthwhile.
Prince Azike expressed his desire and that of Imolites in the USA to work with the Imo State government for the benefit of moving Imo State to the next level, adding that during the visit discussions were mainly based on issues concerning industrialisation and creation of jobs.
Prince Azike, who is from Nwangele LGA, described Hon Ozurigbo as an epitome of love, peace and progress adding that Nwangele indigenes in the USA have proposed to work with him in his second term to guarantee Imolites true dividends of democracy.
Continuing, Prince Azike stated that while they were with him, all that he was asking them was what they could do to make Imo better.
Hon Ozurigbo held several meetings with notable figures like Chief Ikechukwu Agwu from Ideato, Chief Emma Azike and Chief Charlse Aguguesi both from Umuozu in Nwangele LGA, Chief Barr Jude Ezeala from Orlu and Engr Nnamdi Azike, all of whom congratulated him on his well deserved victory at the polls.
The visit did not end there as he was opportuned to meet Dr and Dr (Mrs) Nwachinemere who expressed their desire to bring in resources to Imo State to assist the delivery of quality healthcare services.
Hon Ozurigbo also visited Imolites in Virginia, Washington DC, New York and Pennsylvania.
