The Federal Government took a wise decision to locate NNPC mega stations across major state capitals and cities in the country some years back. The establishment of these fuel mega stations became a big boost to fuel and kerosene users who thronged the mega station to buy the essential products at moderate rates. But in Owerri, the Imo state capital, the story seemed to be different as the mega station only serves fuel and no kerosene. One wonders why there should be pumps for kerosene when the product is not available at the depot located onOnitsha Road, Owerri. Motorists only buy petrol and gas leaving kerosene users out of service. Again, the management of the station are unmindful of the bad and unfanciful nature of the access road into the mega road from Owerri –Onitsharoad. The bumpy access road is a nightmare to numerous motorists using it. The management needs to do something. It is an eyesore, NNPC please wake up.
