Few days after the supplementary election in Imo State for the guber seat which saw Governor Rochas Okorocha declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, more facts have continued to emerge on the reasons why the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) failed in the state.
Evangelist Mike Ikoku in an exclusive chat with Trumpeta revealed that there is only one primary reason why PDP failed to win the April 11 guber election as well as the re-run held last Saturday which he said is as a result of the laudable success Okorocha’s Rescue Mission Government has recorded between 2011 till date that culminated to a massive empowerment, infrastructural and human development amounting to a good governance which Imolites can visibly see and attest to.
In his words, “God wanted Okorocha to come back through divine conspiracy, immunity and orchestration that is why he made it impossible for good things to work in Imo PDP especially in the guber race” Ikoku lamented.
The proprietor of All Seasons Hotel also stated that Imo PDP was filled and characterised with wickedness, maltreatment and so much impunity, likening their leaders to the builders of the Tower of Babel in the Bible before God sent confusion among them that led to their ambition and obsession for absolute power crumbling down.
Ikoku accused PDP of practising democracy as government for them by them and of them noting that they failed to acknowledge those who carried the party even when it is recorded that a labourer deserves his wage.
He pointed out that the primary held by PDP before the general elections was also characterised by handpicking of their choice candidates even when such persons were not popular insisting that the true winner of the guber primary was also denied of his mandate.
Speaking further, the captain of many industries who also contested for the Isu/Njaba/Nkwerre/Nwangele Federal Constituency seat under the Accord Party described Okorocha as a man that has the finger of God upon him and that all the conspiracy planned by the PDP for him to lose especially the elites in PDP was visited with a-last minute coalition of political strongholds from various corners of the state in favour of Owelle Ndigbo advising PDP members to learn that impunity, wickedness and maltreat to other persons is over in the state.
He observed that Owelle Okorocha as a national figure is the link between the Igbo race and the national grid believing that just like Joshua in the Bible, Okorocha will lead Imo State and Igbos to the Promised Land.
