Ihedioha Undecided on Guber Result, May Challenge Outcome in Court

Contrary to speculations and unconfirmed reports that the PDP candidate in the just concluded governorship elections in Imo Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, has declared intentions to go to court, information from the outgoing House of Reps Deputy Speaker shows that his camp is playing on time before taking next step.
In a statement made available to Trumpeta, Ihedioha in his message to Imolites on the conduct of the Governorship election indicated that his reaction on the outcome will follow later after a careful study and observation of details of the result.
Ihedioha in the statement said “as a democrat and law-abiding citizen, I wish to acknowledge the declaration of the results by INEC. We will study the details of the results announced carefully and communicate our position in the near future.
Commenting on what transpired, the PDP candidate said “inspite of instances of identified electoral malpractices including the arrest of over 25 Imo state INEC staff who conspired with the opposition to manipulate and change the results of the elections already declared in favour of PDP, inspite of also of public confession of an INEC returning Officer who was forced under gunpoint to declare false results in favour of APC in the gubernatorial election; Despite several arrests of and recorded inducement of INEC staff at Government House, Owerri, on the eve of the election as captured in photographs, audio and video recordings by local and international observes; and inspite of the proven widespread incidents of swapping of PDP votes in favour of APC, all of which eroded the validity and credibility of the exercise, INEC boss gone ahead to declare the APC candidate winner”.
The PDP candidate however thanked Imolites and asked than to maintain peace and keep alive the dream of rebuilding the state together.
