In a time and age where the quest for academic penchant and excellence seem to have taken flight, former Imo speaker, Barr Noel Chukwukadibia Agwuocha has risen to be counted by donating books to libraries and institutions.
As part of his contribution and commitment to revitalizing the dying reading culture in the society, Barr Agwuocha in his quest for academic excellence extended his philanthropic gestures and magnanimity to Trumpeta News paper. In a letter through which he made the donation, the former Imo Assembly Speaker wrote: “permit the Sir to make this humble donation of the under listed books to your institution’s library as part of my contribution to Nation building”.
It will be recalled that about two months ago, the former Imo Assembly speaker presented five books at the City Global Hotel Owerri, where he told his audience he wrote to encourage students to read more given that education is the bed rock of any nation’s development.
The books donated to Trumpeta Newspaper library are: Chinua Achebe: Between Two Worlds, The Return of Hope, Marathon Kiss, Mama Put and War without End in Nigeria.
