Member elect to further represent and reflect the wishes of Ahiazu/ Ezinihitte Mbaise Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Nnanna Igbokwe have stated that his major thrust going back to represent his constituency is in furtherance towards infrastructural development.
Hon Igbokwe said this during last Saturdays Governorship/State Houses of Assembly Election at boot 013 of Oguamma civic centre in Amuzi Ihewuorie ward, Ahiazu mbaise Local Government Area, Imo State.
Hon Igbokwe who expressed happiness to be returned as a senior member in the Green Chambers revealed to journalists that he won the election through-out Ezinihitte and 11 wards in Ahiazu Mbaise, which indicates a high level of appreciation by his constituents and an encouragement for continuity that will enhance his position, his reach and chances to reach-out fervently to his constituents, as he assured the provision of more access roads to encourage farmer and boost agricultural-output in his constituency.
While commending the Independent Electoral commission INEC for the eary arrival of Adhoc Staffers and electoral materials, Hon. Igbokwe laid emphasis on the victory of the People’s Democratic Party PDP for meriting a large portion of the Federal and Senatorial seats, which he said entails that PDP is embedded into the political fabric of Imo State as he remained optimistic of Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha’s victory for the guber seat in Imo State.
In the same vein, Hon. Nnanna Igbokwe explained reasons why communities in Ekwerazu were been ravaged by erosion resulting to no access roads/routes to major parts of the communities, he revealed that Ekwerazu has a peculiar topography/soil structure within its environs (Mpam, Umu-okirika,) which requires quality roads and can only be provided by the Federal Government.
Hon. Igbokwe who promised to place Ekwerazu as his major priority, noted that a survey had been carried out on major routes to link major communities in Ekwerazu together including (Nkwogu, Obodoahiara, Oparanadim, Obohia, Mpam), stating that when achieved, it will become a land mark achievement, he added that (Aforu – Obohia through Ikeduru will reactivate and boost Economic activities in these areas.
He recalled that Ogu-Umueze road to Uzii was brought in by the federal Government and has been there over the years but with his effort and that of Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha the road came to existence.
