Okorocha’s Achievements Will Guarantee His Second Tenure Liz Ejiogu

The SSA to the Governor on Public Affairs, Dr Mrs Liz Ejiogu has once again expressed delight on the laudable projects of His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha which has touched all the nook and crannies of the state and is continuously spreading with consistent velocity, adding that his achievements will guarantee his second tenure.
She made this assertion when our reporter bumped into her at Owerri Cultural Centre along Akachi Aba road. To her, the governor through his projects and enriched daily activities has carved out a divine image for himself which cannot be rubbished no matter the level of campaign of calumnies that the opponents are playing reiterating that the act of uttering false charges and alleged malicious misrepresentations calculated to rubbish the Rescue Mission is not working as evidenced by the overwhelming reception and accolades coming from people across the state and beyond.
On tackling the issue of religion, the former TC chairman of Owerri West LGA highlighted that the governor through his love for God and humanity opened a magnificent chapel in the government House, an edifice that is mounted adjacent to Okigwe road roundabout with its Sunday service from 7.30am, adding that the chaplain organizes it in such a way that different denominations (Catholics, Anglicans, Methodist, Pentecostal) take turns to organize services on Sunday, while the chapel itself is seen as a tourist attraction and open to the public.
“I see those accusations of Islamization, certificate verification and so on as election frivolities, questioning the rationality of a man that introduced 12 noon prayers to be associated with such accusation. All Government establishments, our various Local Government Councils have also adopted the norm which I observed and can attest as a former TC chairman. Most communities have also introduced the mid-day prayers through the CGC just like the Imo Anthem. It may also interest the public to know that the governor has voiced it out that soon, the 12 noon prayers will be compulsory in the state even to the road user and traders in the market. Imo people must stop and reverence God for 10mins everyday at noon as said the by governor. To the Governor and the wife, Nneoma Nkechinyere Okorocha, the government House chapel is their “greatest achievement” for this first tenure. The issue of Islamization either in Imo state or Nigeria is ruled out as Okorocha is a born and devoted Catholic, like he told the executives of PFM few weeks ago and I quote “I speak Pentecostally, Anglicanism and Catholistically”. Okorocha’s life of altruism, benevolence and humanitarianism is beyond understanding. What he is doing is what none of his opponents can do even in the next 50 years to come” Dr Mrs Liz Ejiogu concluded.
She went further to buttress the monthly prayers for Imo women introduced by the first Lady, Nneoma Nkechinyere Okorocha through her pet project, Women of Divine Destiny Initiative (WOODI) stressing that the programme has been duly packaged since the inception of the Rescue Government, and has been growing and managed by the zeal and love she has for Imo state.
