The final outcome of the Owerri Municipal All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), primary election may not have been heard all especially with the pressure being mounted by the angry youths of the LGA and the reactions trailing every quarter in the area.
Trumpeta in a chart with the President General of Owerri Community Assembly (OCA), Chief Felix Ngoka gathered that the good people of Owerri Municipal indeed has an agreement within themselves to rotate their political position especially the State House of Assembly seat between the two bloc that exist in the area.
He however maintained that it is a mutual agreement reached for the good and development of the area. It would be recalled that few months before the party primaries an Apex leader and the immediate past PG of OCA, Chief Dr Christian Oweaya Aunkam (Agbawodike Izu0 had in a press release stated the stand of Owerri Citizens concerning the chairman position in the area pointing out that they may have to work against any political party that refuses to abide by the agreement. He went further to advice his subjects to fill free in supporting any political party of their choice but maintained that the position of IMHA irrespective of the party in Owerri Municipal is a Zoned to Ikenegbu bloc.
In a related development, the Owerre youth chairman from Umuonyeche village, Hon Osita Odimara (Isipampa) had in a separate chart with Trumpeta via Telephone affirmed to the zoning formula which according to him is still in play adding that Azuzi Block in 2011 produced the present IMHA member, Hon Victor Mere while Ikenegbu bloc which comprises Umuorornjo and Amawom is supposed to produce the next House member.
Meanwhile, when Trumpeta contacted the State party chairman of AGPA, Barr Peter Ezeobi for comments on the purported Hon Mere’s claim of having automatic ticket, the former NDDC boss declined to comment but informed that the electoral officers had submitted their reports.
