Piqued by the call by some concerned members of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP for the arrest of Chief Mike Ahamba and some other Governorship aspirants of the party over an alleged signature racketeering, the Director General of Mike Ahamba has absolved him of any involvement.
In a statement made available to Trumpeta Newspaper, his Director General Simon Nwogbe said that it is an insult on the credibility of Chief Mike Ahamba (SAN) for anybody to associate him with forging of signature of any person or group for whatever reason.
He said that as a senior Advocate of Nigeria SAN and a front runner in the current Governorship race under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Imo state, Chief Ahamba knows his onions as the implication of forgery and therefore cannot and should not be involved in such an action if any.
“We state clearly that the person of Chief Mike Ahamba, SAN cannot engage in signature forgery as he has been a man of impeccable character and honesty all his life”.
“We wish to advice those columnists to leave the police to do their job at the end of which everybody will know the outcome of their investigation, whatever that happened is for the police and the said aspirants to resolve”.
“As those are mere rantings of political Jobbers and social ants, they even brought in the name of Senator Ararume who is not from Owerri Zone, and who was never part of the meeting or document thereby exposing the speculations and attendant malice of the hatchet writers”.
