US BASED WOMAN LEADER PEP OGOKEH CALLS FOR SACRIFICE ON NIGERIA’S 54TH ANNIVERSARY

As reactions have continued to trail the 54th Independent Anniversary of Nigeria, Nigerians in the Diaspora are not left out.
Reacting to Senator Ahmed Tinubu’s view that Nigeria has nothing to celebrate on its 54th independent anniversary, Lady Pepertua Ogokeh, a Maryland USA based health practitioner, business mogul and the Director of women and children Affairs of Mbaise USA Incorporated condemned the reckless statement by Tinubu and congratulated Nigerians on our independent day.
Speaking to our USA, correspondent, the political mobilizer and Ihedioha Campaign Organization USA Women Leader, noted that the country despite some of its challenges have cause to celebrate democratic governance since 1999. She noted that Nigerians should be more patriotic and sacrifice for the sake of the future generation.
She called on leaders to think more of the future than their selfish material gains in making policies. She condemned the insecurity in Nigeria linked to Boko Haram and insurgency and called on the political class to come together and stop playing politics with sensitive issue of national security.
Lady Pep challenged journalists to be more consistent and aggressive in unraveling the activities of the political leaders and citizens with the view to holding them responsible for their actions.
On Imo State, the Mbaise born political mobilizer threw her weight behind the political aspiration of Rt Hon Ihedioha to be the governor of Imo State in 2015, stressing that he is duly qualified and most prepared to offer progressive service to the people. Lady Ogokeh affirmed that she will mobilizes women of Imo in USA to support Ihedioha’s ambition to make it a reality come 2015.
