Chekwas Okorie Blasts Okorocha

The national leader of the United Progressive Party, UPP, Chief Chekwas Okorie has berated the governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha describing him as a planless man who is not articulate in running the affairs of the state.
The Oga Ozi Ndi Igbo, Chief Okorie made the comment while chatting with media men on the state of affairs in some Eastern states of Nigeria in Houston Texas during the World Igbo Congress. He noted that Governor Okorocha has turned Imo State into a state in perpetual debt burden with all the uncompleted projects scattered all over the state making the Eastern Heartland a construction site with his visionless and showmanship style of leadership.
On the constant claim of Okorocha as Igbo leader, Chief Chekwas noted that Igbo leadership is not electable, it is not purchased with money or claimed with mouth but earned through forthright leadership. He noted that the late Eze Igbo Gburugburu, Dim Ikemba Odumegwu Ojukwu never for one day in his life time gave himself the title of Eze Ndi Igbo but that the entire people of Igbo race considering the streling and sincere leadership example of Ikemba followed him and bestowed on him the Eze Igbo. He added that if anybody decises to take the nick name, Eze Ndi Igbo or Prince of Ndi Igbo, so be it but emphasized that such a person be it Okorocha cannot use that title to call out Ndi Igbo for anything and that no Igbo son or daughter can follow such a person with the penchant of dumping an Igbo party that brought him into power to join a party APC that is stigma in Igbo land.
Chief Okorie went further to say that Okorocha has commited many political sins against Ndi Igbo and Imo people and that come 2015, he will be thrown out for his absolute political madness. Chief Okorie called on Imo people to embrace the United Progressive Party as the party with Igbo interest.
On the adoption of President Goodlock Jonathan for the 2015 presidential election by PDP and APGA, chief Chekwas said that presenting it as the entire Igbo agenda, is psychophancy. He added that when he left APGA, he left with the soul and spirit of the party living only the decomposing carcass which has made it easy for anything to happen. He noted that a battle line is drawn between the reactionary forces and progressive forces in the Nigerian polity. He said that PDP and APC habour equal distribution of treasury looters, recycled politicians, corruption infested persons and reactionary forces noting thjat nothing good can come out of them calling on Nigerians and all oppressed people of all ethnicity to join forces with the real progressives represented by the United Progressive Party in order to bring the desired progress Nigeria need desperately.
Meanwhile, the Imo State government of Owelle Rochas Okorocha has donated land in Owerrri to the World Igbo Congress for the purpose of building an International Medical Centre of Excellence in Igboland.
Handing over the Certificate of Occupancy and title of the land to the Chairman of World Igbo Congress, Joe Nze Eto, the Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere, who represented Governor Rochas Okorocha at the 20th Anniversary of the World Igbo Congress held in Houston Texas where the hand over was done said that the gesture was in fulfillment of the promise of the governor to WIC and his love for good health care of the people of Imo and Ndi Igbo. He assured World Igbo Congress of the continued support of his administration to the programmes and activities of the body.
Receiving the certificate with the title Plot number 30 & 40 in Central Market West of Residential PKT L/out Owerri located in Owerri West LGA, signed by Jude M. Udeh, Ag Director of Lands for Honorable Commissioner for Land, Uche Nwosu, thanked the governor for fulfilling his promise. He assured him that World Igbo Congress will not fail Ndi Igbo. The Chairman said they will without delay embark on surveying of the land and doing other necessary logistic jobs at the site so as to start work soonest at the place.
Meanwhile many Imolites living in the United and other parts of the World who were present at the official handover expressed pessimism over the document and wondered if the land given to the WORLD Igbo Congress is not under contention with the communities who own the land as is usual with the present administration in Imo. They adviced the leadership of World Igbo Congress to immediately go to Owerri to confirm the authenticity of the certificate of Occupancy as Okorocha is known for showmanship and allocation of lands that are under contention to people. The certificate of the land is hereby included for record purposes.
