The Executive Chairman of Owerri Municipal Council Chief (sir) Emma Odor has assured the Corp members posted to Owerri Municipal Council of adequate welfare.
Chief Odor made this known while interacting with the 2012 Batch “B” Corp members who passed out recently from the NYSC Orientation camp when they paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
The Chairman further advised the Corp members to use the period of their service year to render purposeful service to their host communities who have been patriotic and responsible citizens of the country. He assured them of the council’s readiness under his administration to provide them with adequate assistance to ensure their well being.
In their response, the Corpers through the Corps liaison officer of Owerri Municipal Council, Mr. Tony Chinedu Ezika thanked the Chairman for providing them with accommodation and logistics used in conveying the Corp members from the NYSC Orientation camp to their respective place of primary assignment and assured the Chairman of their willingness to partner with his administration and also to remain of good conduct throughout their service year.
Present in the interactive session is the Secretary of the Council (Hon. Felix Nnodim), the Supervisor for Youths and Sports (Hon. Ikenna Omeaku) and the supervisor for information and Education (Hon. Kelechi Nwachukwu).
