Sequel to this, Orlu zonal Progressive Union, Ahoada branch, River State in onerous decision has showered accolades to the member representing Ideato North in Imo State House of Assembly, who also eyes the magnificent position of representing Orlu zone in the Senate come 2015, under All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in the person of Hon. Barr. Mrs. Eudora Obiageli Igwe.
“The union in a unanimous agreement opined that Okwesilieze has touched lives in so many ways through socio/economic and political activities in the state and beyond, stressing that through Adaoma International Foundation, the lives of the less privileged and the indigent widows have been effected positively without any contribution but by the love and passion she has for humanity.
Expressing their concern onbehalf of the union, the chairman, Mr. C Oluigbo and the branch coordinator, Davidson Nwovike passed an vote of confidence on okwesilieze as the right candidate for Orlu senatorial position come 2015, adding that nobody will wrestle power with her as the lives she has touched will keep on to promote and project her in all the senatorial race till victory is assured. Moreso, the union promised never to abandon her at the verge of ensuring efficiency and productivity in representation. Adding, they maintained that God has already sanctified the position for Okwesilieze whom they termed “Deborah and Esther of old” to lead the people of Orlu zone to the promised land, pledging their unflinching supports to her come rain, come sunshine.
Responding, the honourable member, Barr Eudora Igwe appreciated the trust and kind gestures shown to her by the union, adding that all the eulogies showered on her would spur her to do more just as she is doing already by the grace of God. In furtherance, she averred that she vehemently opposed the passage of the Abortion law because of the love and respect she has for God and humanity. In a related development, Okwesilieze enjoined the masses, especially the people of Orlu zone to see reasons in supporting a woman to attain her political position, with reference to her Senatorial ambition. She harped that for the sake of equity and fairness to prevail, Ideato nation should be allowed to provide the next Senate material, which she boasted to posses all the basic qualities to represent them effectively if given their mandates.
