APC Not Boko Haram Party, Says Imo Governor

Apparently refuting the rumour that All Progressives Congress (APC) IS BEHIND THE ACTIVITIES OF THE Boko Haram terrorist in Nigeria, the Imo state Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has made it clear the APC has no hand in such an ugly act.
The state governor who disclosed this during the breakfast meeting with his political appointees and APC stakeholders at Government House, Owerri, said that the strength of Boko Haram is in the disunity of the country.
Owelle Okorocha made it clear the Boko Haram has been in existence before the formation of APC and urged party members not to allow such rumour to distract them from the love and support they have for the party.
Governor Okorocha condemned the internal crisis existing in APC in some local government in the state and urged the party faithfuls to settle their differences and come together to move the party forward.
He stressed the need for political appointees to have change of attitude and cultivate the habit of sacrifice as well as to carry the people at the grassroots level along in scheme of things.
The governor made them to understand that what made APC to lose in Ekiti state was caused by the elites and the grassroots; adding that the leaders of APC in the area were not on ground.
He expressed optimism that APC will win all the elective positions as well produce the next president come 2015; stating that APC has concluded arrangement to embark on programmes and projects that will make the party more vibrant in the state.
Owelle Okorocha maintained that the success and failure of APC lies in the hands of the party members and urged them to have a change of attitude to enable the party achieve its objective in the 2015 general election.
In his speech the state chairman of APC, Dr. Hilary Ekeh, thanked the governor for such a meeting and assured him that members of APC will not disappoint him come 2015.
