OkoroaforAnyanwu, Charles Onuoha, APC Woman Leader Dump Party For PDP, As PDP Suspends Former SSG, Nze Umunna

PDP LOGOS
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Imo State Chapter yesterday recorded a big hit as the former state chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Prince Marshal Okafor Anyanwu, Prince Charles Onuoha (Guber Aspirant), former state Women Leader of the party and fifteen LGA chairmen of APC officially obtained PDP cards at the party’s secretariat at Okigwe Road, Owerri, Imo state.
Present to receive the defecting top echelon of the Imo APC was the PDP state chairman Chief Nnamdi Anyaehie, the Vice Chairman, General Chikwe, the three zonal chairman of the party namely General Ogbonna (Owerri) Engr Greg Madu (Orlu) and Chief Uzowuru (Okigwe).
Present also was the Organizing Secretary, Chief LN Ireoha (Bekebe) the Publicity secretary Bar Enyinna Ounegbu, Youth Leader Hon Okey Ezuruike, the ALGON chairman Chief (Mrs) Rubi Emele and other top PDP members.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prince Okafor said he was delighted to join the PDP fold, and promised to give his total support to his new party and serve with loyalty and sense of dedication, pointing out that APC is made up of ungrateful lots, who rather than honour hardworking and loyal members, recognize those who have nothing to offer.
Prince Onuoha disclosed that he believed he is joining a party where democracy thrives, and not APC where things are run like a business enterprise of one individual, adding that he is happy to join people of like minds.
Receiving the new members, the Imo PDP state chairman, Chief Anyaehie commended Anyanwu, Onuoha and the other APC decampees of librating themselves from the shackles of impunity, and dictatorship, to a place where all voices are heard and deliberations done in the open for all to make contributions.
He said with Okafor Anyanwu now in PDP, the soul of APC in Imo has departed the party, and assured Prince Onuoha who is a Governorship Aspirant in APC before joining PDP, that the PDP’s umbrella is big enough for all.
It would be recalled that Prince Okafor Anyanwu, a former close ally of Governor Rochas Okorocha abandoned APC after he was used to set up the structure of the party in Imo state, and later thrown out by Okorocha, who said that since both him and Anyanwu are from Orlu zone, it would not sound well that APC parades both Governorship candidate and state chairmen in the 2015 election.
For Prince Onuoha, his grouse against Okorocha was that the Governor tricked them in 2011 that he will hand over to an Owerri man in 2015 after just one “rescue mission” only for Onuoha to believe Okorocha will run again.
However, APC’s loss is PDP’s gain as the state women leader of APC and fifteen APC chairmen also were among those who pitched camp with PDP yesterday.
