The Imo State Police Command has commenced investigations concerning the reported dastardly act of shooting of a middle-aged man in Owerri at his private male organ by gun totting persons suspected to be policemen.
Trumpeta had on Tuesday exclusively reported about the alleged shooting of the young man who just breezed into the state from Malaysia, after minor disagreements on issues related to car park in Owerri, the Imo state capital.
At first, the victim after he was allegedly shot at the private region of his manhood by the suspected policemen on Owerri Street were later dragged to the Fire Service Police Station Owerri where his accomplice was also shot on the shoulder.
While the victims are receiving intensive medicare, Trumpeta can reveal that the police have commenced investigation with a view to determining what transpired between the victims and the trigger-happy policemen.
Making the revelation is the Police Public Relations Officer of Imo state, DSP Andrew Enwere who told Trumpeta that “Investigation has commenced on the matter” adding that police is doing their job to unravel the circumstances surrounding the matter.
The Police spokesman who was unable to further disclose whether the suspected shooters have been apprehended or not, said that the circumstances under which the action took place between the victims and attackers will determine police approach to the investigation.
Trumpeta further gathered that the victim who was planning to return to his Malaysian base is still facing severe difficulties arising from the gun shoot that shattered his manhood.
