Contributing to the outcome of the June 20th trip embarked upon by Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state with over 171 delegates comprising commissioners, legislators, TC chairmen, Board members, traders and keke operators to Turkey for business and economic visit, one of the APC apex leaders in Amiri ward 1, Oru East local government area, Imo state, Chief Callistus Ugoeze (omeudo) has eulogized the contributions of Owelle Okorocha in the development of the state, stating that such a business project is only embarked upon by visionary leaders, hence Okorocha is a pace setter.
Chief Ugoeze submitted that the trip to industrialize Konya in Turkey will boosten the economic activities of the state in so many ways through the knowledge acquired by the State Government of a pragmatic leader, and the esteemed delegates, pointing out that their visit to some basic manufacturing, Agricultural and other leather industries will serve as an avenue to widen the productivity in Imo.
Speaking further, he maintained that Governor Okorocha has proven his competence in more convincing means to Imolites and sister states of the federation through the unprecedented trip to Konya, stressing that it takes only a people oriented leader with people interest at heart to embark on such a promotional venture. He said Okorocha has absolutely distinguished himself from his predecessors and even in future. Chief Ugoeze further hinted that the trip was a huge success as some of the delegates signed the official memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the foreign counterparts in efforts to deliver Imolites from perceived unemployment and poverty.
In a related development, the Amiri born politician admonished the citizens to support the wind of change introduced by Okorocha in all the nook and crannies of the state down to the grassroots, rather than being skeptical and sentimental. He urged them to desist from unhealthy criticisms that might be destructive, pointing out that the Governor has done nothing to warrant unjustified accusations as such behaviour can only emanate from oppositions whom he addressed as detractors.
In his words “Imo is finally at the verge of total transformation led by Governor Rochas Okorocha. The past 12 years of PDP in Government is a total waste to Imo economy. Nobody or party will stop him from continuing his 2nd tenure. What we all are seeing today’s has never been seen nor heard in the history of Imo state. He commended the Governor for embarking upon massive road construction, free education scheme, effective security, youth empowerments to mention but a few. “He who the cap fits, let him wear it”, Chief Ugoeze concluded.
