Despite the blocking of the shell camp lock up shops with fence which foreclosed the business of some of the shop operators especially those running canteens and beer parlours, life still persists in one of the remaining shops. Popularly known as Camel Rock, the shop serves the desire of policemen, security agencies and visitors alike at the shell camp area of the State Police Command.
The proprietor of the relaxation centre has in stock of all many of drinks ranging from beers to wines and spirit no wonder it was baptised “Camel Rock” because most of the patronisers take a wine called camel rock. More so, the joint runs a “fellowship” with a General Overseer, both chairman and other associates officers who make the whole affairs a fun filled one. One snag that has troubled visitors is the poor state of accessible roads in shell camp. The rain has turned the place to an eyesore.
