Determined to grab the ticket of Federal House of Representatives in Okigwe North under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Bright Uchenna Nwachukwu has fortified his aspiration as the campaign team was inaugurated tagged “Lets make Okigwe North Bright Through”.
The Inauguration which was held in his country home Obollo, Isiala Mbano Local Government Council of Imo State on Saturday 26th, April 2014 commenced with the accreditation of campaign coordinators cutting across the 33 INEC wards in Okigwe-Onuimo Isiala Mbano Federal constituency. Introducing the principal, the Director General of the campaign organization, Hon. Monday Ikoku told that Hon. Nwachukwu has observed the mistakes of the past and present representatives and decided to request your support to better the lots of the downtrodden, noting that he is the right person to represent the constituency. He added that Bright Nwachukwu had been making consultation three years ago and got the consent of the people as he encouraged the team to work together to actualize the goal.
Expressing his gratitude, the Aspirant Hon. Bright Uchenna Nwachukwu thanked the team for their dedication. He promised not to disappoint them in the course, even as he bared his mind on effective communication with them as he noted that he is standing before them with the consent of the Obollo people, his community.
Continuing, Hon. Nwachukwu stated that he would put all his blessing from God into practice to transform the constituency and called on them to give him the opportunity to serve in the green chambers. He explained that the team would be few because according to him, through divine inspiration, it is better to embark on the struggle with dedicated few.
The HSE Manager who had served in different multi national oil companies further explained that from experience, there are certain things the constituency is lacking. He added that he instituted the award of the best behave student in Missionary schools within the constituency, pointing out that this is to ensure that a student come out both in learning and morality.
In his part, the Chairman of the Campaign Advisory Committee, Prof. Obioma Iheduri affirmed that he consented to be in the team because the vibrant youth is approachable, reliable and accessible. The former Don of Madonna University reinteracted his commitment to work assiduously to deliver Bright Nwachukwu and the party PDP as he inaugurated the team.
Also speaking, Hon. Zik Nwachukwu the elder brother and also the former executive Chairman of Isiala Mbano in 1999 described the Aspirant as a true resemblance of their father. He added that the family is the base of politics in Obollo ward and wished the younger brother well in his aspiration.
In their separate acceptance speech, the coordinators of Okigwe, Onuimo and Isiala Mbano, Hon. Kenneth Igwe, Hon. Jude Obijiaku and Chief Benson Nwosu of the campaign organization respectively pledged their unalloyed loyalty to project their principal. The trio said the only way to achieve the set objective through cooperation among the stakeholders of the campaign train.
