Chukwueke: Imo Governorship A Serious Matter

chukwuekeAs event’s leading to 2015 general election begins to manifest daily in Imo State with Galaxy of aspirants from Owerri zone clamouring to succeed Gov. Rochas aspirant, Chief Jerry Chukwueke has set the record straight that his intention to join the race was not to experiment but in a quest to take what rightfully belongs to Owerri zone.
Chief Jerry Chukwueke the chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) contact and mobilization committee made this disclosure during a stakeholders meeting with PDP leaders and other members of Owerri North LGA hosted by him and held in his country home at Awaka in Owerri North LGA.
According to the Ohamadike of Owerri who described him self as a vocational politician, thought the capacity to change the sitting Governor lies in the party as he revealed that in their first rally they were booed and stuffs thrown at them because people believed PDP was dead but has since cleaned up by the contact and mobilization spearheaded by him as he averred that achievements recorded by the committee is a revelation that he can change coal to gold.
He further opined that the committee set up 9 months ago has become the engine room of preparing PDP for 2015 election. I left my business for nine months to focus on the mobilization of Imo PDP and invested over N200 million in the project (personal fund). We brought inspiration back to Peoples Democratic Party, as the people are now responding because they are looking for new and inspiring leadership that will come out in PDP in 2015”.
Chief Chukwueke further stressed that the challenge we facing Imo state is the management of economy as the present government celebrates poverty.
“Instead of creating enabling environment for our people to gain economic empowerment, Okorocha is busy sharing poverty” he said. Others Dignitaries present during the occasion include Chief Abrose Ejiogu, Chief Martin Agbaso, Dr Kema Chikwe, Ezenwa Onyewuchi, Ray Emeana among others.
