The centre can no longer hold in the Oguta arm of PDP as a frontline politician and philanthropist from the area, Hon Chief Ezediaro Henry Uzoma leads not less than 5000 aggrieved PDP members to APC, for the state governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha to receive them.
Hon Ezediaro’s movement from PDP to APC has no doubt depleted the rank and file of the party in the LGA.
Speaking to Trumpeta ahead the event scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 8th 2014 at Oguta Girls’ School field Oguta, Chief Ezediaro who is the coordinator of Oganihu Ndi Igbo Rescue Nigeria Movement (RNM), a project for good governance noted that his group decided to call it quit when it became clearer that the PDP shop is being navigated without a map, adding that they earlier the dump the party the better for them.
According to him, “our mass movement to APC is for public interest of Oguta people. This is the only place the people of the area can be guaranteed of the equitable distribution of the dividends of democracy. That is the era when one man takes all to be used for the development of the area is gone”
Hon Ezediaro noted that the massive development witnessed in the area within two years of Okorocha surpasses PDP’s twelve years.
While appealing to progressives in the area to troop out en masse to register and support APC to be founding fathers, he noted that those joining to APC are included leaders, Ward and LGA executives of PDP.
Apart from prays in the field of politics, Hon Ezediaro, an inlaw to late royal icon and Nzeobi of Egbema, Eze S N A Uzor is a philanthropist per excellence who has touched the lives of people especially the less-privileged in the society.
