ALGON CARPETS ATTORNEY GEN. – Says he is ACN member.

The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Imo State Chapter, last Friday, carpeted the Commissioner of Justice and Attorney Gen of the state, Bar Soronnadi Njoku.

Briefing newsmen in Owerri, ALGON spokesman, Barr Enyinnaya Onuegbu described “the learned Attorney – General and Commissioner for Justice as one who doesn’t have any proper legal opinion to add or retract the perfidious illegality of the dissolution of elected LGA officials by an elected governor”.

The group’s spokesman noted that theImoStategovernment has since the appointment of the Attorney – General continued to commit legally indefensible activities in the name of governance.

“The Attorney – General who till date is a member of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and still lacks the confidence to declare for APGA the Governor’s political platform apparently has a different agenda from his principal which is to pull the Governor down for his ACN party to rise”.  Onuegbu declared.

He stated that “The Imo State Government has since the appointment of this Attorney General continued to commit legally indefensible activities in the name of governance and several court judgment now abound voiding these unconstitutional bodies, ALGON now wonders if this Attorney – General hears a legal or a political sycophants”.

The group wondered if Governor Okorocha has any iota of confidence on the Attorney – General as his Chief law officer.

“We wish to remind the Attorney – General and those who think like him what every fresh law graduate known, that it is settled law that where a party to a litigation or his legal practitioner is physically present in court – when judgment is delivered for APGA the Governors political platform apparently has a different agenda from Governor down for his ACN party to rise.
