Amaigbo Women Honour School of Health Provost, Princess Duru

Central school play Ground Amaigbo, was a Mecca of a sort as friends and well wishers in conjunction with Amaigbo women trooped in their large number to celebrate the Acting provost of Imo state college of Nursing and the Health, Sciences, Amaigbo, Princess Ngozi Duru. The Acting Provost was recognized by Amaigbo women for her excelling input in the transformation of the health institution.
The women leader of Amaigbo community, lady Evelyn Udemba thanked Gov. Okorocha for retention of Amaigbo as the headquarter of the Imo State College of Health Sciences and Nursing and appointment of Princess Ngozi Duru as it’s provost among other key appointments in his government. She called on Amaigbo people to join hands and hearts to build their home town.
In his address as the chairman of the occasion, Dr Okey Onyejiaka said that nation building cannot be complete without women. He said that Amaigbo women have contributed immensely by uplifting homes and thanked God for Princess Duru as it is a great feat to be recognized by her fellow women.
Princess Duru after receiving the award as “Eziada” thanked God for the award and said she feel great to be recognized by the women. She thanked Gov Okorocha forgiving her the opportunity to serve in the health institution and praised the school management, the staff and students for their candid support and prayed for its continuance. Acting provost itemized some of her achievements in the school and solicited more help in the school upgrading.
Other activities exhibited at the occasion were the cultural dance, women match past and honouring of past deserving officers of the union.
Dignitaries present at the ceremony were Nneoma Okorocha represented by Barr Lady Ngozi Njoku, Hon Sir Chukwudi Onyereri (member representing Nkwerre/Nwangele/Isu/Njaba federal constituency), Eze-elect of Amaigbo Prince Sir Nelson Nwosu, Barr Amachi Nwoha, Hon Ugonna Ozuruigbo, IMSU VC and Imo Poly Rector .
