The founder and national chairman of the United People’s Party (UPP) Chief Chiwas Okorie has again reiterated that the soul of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has gone to the UPP leaving the party (APGA) as an appendage of PDP, submitting that 2015 general election will be between the UPP, PDP and APC.
He made this known to journalists during the thanksgiving service of Chief Imo Osmond Ukanacho investiture into the knight of St Christopher at Umuhu Atta Ikeduru LGA recently. The Abia state political leader, averred that UPP is made up of people who are dedicated in the fight of Igbo course, stating also that UPP is a national party that has been accepted nationwide and is prepared to poll surprises in 2015 general election.
Speaking also Chief Ukanacho said that considering the level of wide spread and strength of the party structure in the grassroot, nothing with stop UPP from emerging victorious especially in Imo state.
The 2015 guber hopeful also spoke on his Pet project, the Osmond Imo Ukanacho Foundation (OIUF) which he said has nothing to do with his political career/ambition but was borne out of his covenant with God to assist and provide for the needy and less privilege as a way of worshiping God. The foundation has continued to put smiles on faces of many across Imo state, through provision of shelter, for the homeless, donation of transformers, buses to churches, empowerment of youths and artisans, to mention a few.
Earlier at the church, the pastor incharge, Pastor Charles Mgbemere advised Christians to learn and embibe the culture of thanksgiving to God in order to evoke un-imaginable blessing and favour from God , stressing that our two hands are meant to give with one and receive with the other one. He also thanked God for the journey mercies of his members during the xmas and New Year seasons.
