PDP Contact and Mobilization Committee Hits Owerri Municipal

The contact and Mobilization Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Imo State has been commended by Oha Boniface Anukam, Onye Ishi Oha Owerri (The head of Owerri Municipal).
The commendation came over the weekend when the committee, led by it’s chairman Chief Jerry Chukwueke (Ohamadike of Owerri) paid a courtesy visit to the Onye Ishi Oha Owerri at his country home in Owerri.
Anukam commended the committee for the good work it is doing while pointing out that the rally and mobilization being carried out in all the local governments of Imo state will go a long way in helping PDP reclaim the state come 2015. He further prayed for God’s guidance and protection on the committee as they tour the state.
Speaking Earlier, Chairman of the committee, Chief Chukwueke noted that the committee dimmed it necessary to pay the courtesy visit to Oha Anukam to seek for his support and blessing .
The committee later headed for rosy art theater, venue of the rally where they were welcomed by a mammoth crowd.
In his welcome address, chairman of the PDP in Owerri municipal area council, Deacon Paul Ajunwa noted that the PDP in Owerri municipal is intact and ready for the 2015 general elections. He pointed out that the only challenge faced by the party in the area is lack of office building and noted that the Owerri people will deliver PDP come 2015.
In his speech, Chairman of the committee, Chief Jerry Chukwu (Ohamadike of Owerri), re-emphasized the parties decision of not imposing candidates on the electorates come 2015.
Chukwueke hinted that the South-East has benefited more under President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration than any other administration. He enumerate President Jonathan’s achievements to include the approval of the Akanu Ibiam International airport in Enugu State, approval of the construction of the second Niger bridge in Anambra state, establishment of additional 12 new federal universities across the country, construction and commissioning of over 1000 km of roads in the country, to mention but a few.
Ohamadike frowned at the level of indebtedness the present administration under Okorocha has brought to Imo state and noted that the administration has brought untold hardship to the good people of Imo state.
In their responses, the mayor of Owerri, Emmanuel Odor and Willy Amadi thanked the good people of Owerri for patiently waiting for the committee and urged them to vote for PDP come 2015.
Some of the dignitaries at the rally include Hon Clinton Amadi; former member Imo state House of Assembly Chief Dr C.D William former mayor of Owerri Municipal, Hon Mike Ahumibe former SOLAD Owerri municipal and Hon Chukwuemeka Ebere leader Owerri Peoples Forum (OPF).
