Arsenal Stars to visit Nigeria

After the well publicised visit of Arsenal Football Club was cancelled some days back, the Club Officials have come to have announced that for four first team players will be visiting the country.

Tomas Rosicky, Bacary Sagna, Per Meryesacker and new signing Lukas Podolski will be travelling toLagoswith Club Officials for a flying visit the weekend after next.

The move follows the postponement of Arsenal’s game againstNigeriawhich was scheduled for Sunday August 5.

Arsenal’s head of Global Partnerships Vinai Venkatesham said.  “We were disappointed to have to postpone the game and intend to visitNigerianext summer”.

Over the next few days, we will be announcing how fans of the nation’s No 1 Malt drink – Malta Guinness can enjoy not only the goodness of our new lower sugar variant, but also win the opportunity to interact and get involved with their idols at a number of exclusive events during their stay.

The players will also be making appearances for mobile network operators Airtel.  It would be recalled here thatNigeria’s love for the most existing League in the World English Premier League has started to pay dividends with the recent visit of Portsmouth FC and Manchester United and now the Stars of Arsenal FC.

No doubt the strength of followership for the English Clubs will for sure be in the rise.
