The Aboh Mbaise LGA Coordinator of Owerri Peoples Front, OPF, Hon. Ken Onwuhiaraonye has advised Imo people to support the aspiration of the people of Owerri zone to produce the next governor of Imo State in 2015 in the spirit of equity and brotherliness.
In his own contribution, the PRO of OPF in Aboh Mbaise, Mr Ikenna Onyeachu, Ikomo, hammered on the need for politicians from Owerri zone not to allow bickering and self destruction cause a crack in the zone which outsiders will capitalize upon to thwart the just struggle of the zone. He called on the youth, community leaders and the elites to enlighten the people at the grassroots on the Owerri zone agenda of producing the next occupant of Douglas House in 2015.
Also commenting, High Chief Chukwuemeka Eke a.k.a Emeka Japan, noted that it is time for Rochas to surrender power to Owerri zone. He however called on the people and leaders to support an intelligent, tested man of integrity from Owerri zone in 2015 for governorship.
These remarks were made during the inauguration of the executive of Aboh Mbaise chapter of OPF held at the South-East zonal sports complex playground, Umuopara Nguru on Thursday, November 28th 2015.
Before the inauguration, the national leadership of OPF, The Owerri Peoples Front, a non party organization of Owerri zone on the forefront of canvassing for the emergence of an Imo State governor of Owerri zone extraction led by the National Chairman of the group, Hon Ebere Chukwuemeka paid a courtesy visit to the palaces of HRH Eze Reginald Amadi, Obo 1 of Obetiti Autonomous Community and HRH Eze D.O Njoku, Ekwueme II of Nguru-Nwenkwo where they informed the royal fathers that they have come to seek for their royal blessings and intimate them of their mission in their domain which they said was to mobilize and enlighten the people of Owerri zone on the need to support the project of realizing the emergence of an Owerri zone son or daughter as governor of Imo State in 2015.
