If all the programmes of Chief Chidi Felix Idiga Foundation are executed effectively and efficiently as disclosed by the Jafac group Director General (DG) Chief Dan Akuakanwa, then the poor, less privileged and youths in Orlu senatorial Zone are in for a life upliftment.
The Foundation founded by Lolo Chinyere Idiga and funded by her spouse Chief Chidi Idiga (Jafac) has embarked on empowerment of market men, and women in Orlu zone by helping them expand their business in order for them to live a comfortable life and take care of their family necessities it was revealed that the financial empowerment ranges from fifty thousand naira (N50,000) to million of naira empowerment.
Free medical test and treatment had also been carried out by the foundation. This is done by Nigerians and over sea doctors, where oversea treatment is recommended, the foundation takes care of every thing concerning the oversea trip. The foundation according to the DG of the foundation Barr Chidi Ugbala has also awarded scholarships to youths of Orlu in different schools of learning and also provided educational materials to schools and youth in Orlu zone.
In a bid to give the youths hooks to fish, the Idiga Foundation also holds skill acquisition in a very high esteem as it has embarked on different skills acquisition for the youth of the zone, like soap making, decoration, computer application to mention a few.
All work and no play they say makes jack a dull boy, that might be why the Foundation is also into sport talent hunt through the Chief Chidi Felix Idiga Orlu zone football competition.
According to the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of soccer fiesta Hon Eddy Olumba, he said that the competition is to foster peace and unity between Orlu zone communities, check youths engagement in social vices and fish out hidden talents that will be exposed to professionalism, at home and abroad.
