Stakeholders of All Progressive Congress – APC, Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Chapter, have expressed their gratitude to the Governor of Imo State, Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha for re-appointing their illustrious son, Dr. Ifeanyi Nwachukwu as commissioner.
They made the commendation during their meeting recently held at the Local Government Council Hall at Itu, the Council Headquarters.
They also re-affirmed their unalloyed loyalty and support for Dr. Nwachukwu while condemning those who engage in frivolous and malicious petition writing.
The stakeholders’ meeting later turned to a sort of solidarity as those in attendance took turns to pay glowing tributes to Governor Okorocha.
Other important issues that came up at the meeting were the forth-coming APC membership registration, the inauguration of two separate committees for Dr. Ifeanyi Nwachukwu’s empowerment program and football competition among communities in Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government.
Present at the meeting were Mr. Stanley Onwukwe, former APGA Local Government Chairman, Hon. Martin Nwogu, former APGA Publicity secretary, Chief Larry Osuagwu, C.E.O of Data- Computer College – Owerri, Dr. (Mrs.) Uttams J.U, Dr. Ifeanyi Nwachukwu, women and youths leaders from the political wards in Ezinihitte, Government Liaison Officers among others.
Addressing the stakeholders, Mr. Onwukwe emphasized on the need to sustain those in leadership positions. He hinted that party membership registration in APC and ward sensitization will soon commence. He urged stakeholders to assist registration officials and ensure proper mobilization of the people while the registration lasted.
