Mbaise Group Moves A Motion urging President Goodluck Jonathan To Run For 2015

History was made in Mbaise on Saturday, 5th October 2013, as key stakeholders of Mbaise Nation cutting across political party affiliation, in their large numbers gathered at the home of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prof Viola Onwuliri and passed a motion. Reading out the motion on behalf of the group Sir Marcel Chineme Okoro said, “Mbaise Nation hereby thanks the President for carrying our daughter along in his administration. Secondly, Mbaise Nation gave the highest vote to PDP in 2011 and will continue to do so. Finally that Mbaise Nation as a people unanimously calls on President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to declare for 2015 to continue the good work at the presidency because there is no vacancy in Aso Villa and he is assured of our total support.” The motion as moved was seconded by Ohanele Casmir Tochukwu, a seasoned journalist who added that by initiating a National Dialogue, Mr President has won the heart of Nigerian and put detractors in confusion. The Minister used the occasion to highlight the benefit of the Transformational Agenda of President Goodluck Jonathan and called on the Mbaise nation to support Mr president.
At the event were Hon Pat Ngozi Ekeji, Hon Dr Longinus Ekennia, Chairman, Federal Road Safety Board, Mr Felix Chukwu, Hon Mike Iheanetu, Dr Eddy Agulanna, Hon Dr Ukoha, Hon Bede Nzenwa, Chairman Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA, Deputy Chairman of Ahiazu, past chairmen of the Three LGAs of Mbaise , Chief Ugochukwu Okoro (Agbara) Lady Chika (Diamond of Mbaise), many senior citizens of Mbaise and political parties officials.
While relishing the numerous positive contributions of the minister towards the development of Mbaise nation, a veteran politician in Mbaise Chief Dr Ukoha, appealed to the Minister to help Eznihitte Mbaise people to benefit in Federal appointments and contracts.
Adding his voice for President Jonathan to run for 2015 election, Chief J.U Iwuchukwu, the legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state stressed that Mr President has shown commitment as a compassionate and peaceful leader. He appreciated the support by Hon Minister of Foreign Affairs to Mr President describing her as a dedicated and loyal lieutenant.
