PDP Threatens To Suspend Imo Lawmaker, Over Anti Party As Ugonna Ozuruigbo Kicks Against Chairman

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nwangele Chapter has threatened to suspend the member representing Nwangele state constituency at the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon Ugonna Ozuruigbo for his alleged anti party activities.
The Chairman of the party in Nwangele LGA, Hon Justine Amadi made this known on Tuesday, during the ward tour of PDP at Umuozu ward, Nwangele LGA of the state.
Hon. Amadi stated that Ozuruigbo decamped from PDP to APGA after he won under the party’s platform, and later came back to PDP, stressing that since his return, he has not been committed to the affairs of the party.
He described Ozuruigbo as a man that aprobates and reprobates, noting that even as he claims to be a member of PDP, he still romances with the APC.
Hon Amadi further noted that Ozuruigbo still sponsors meetings of APC in the area, stating that such an act depicts sabotage, adding that if he fails to turn a new leaf, the party will have no other option than to suspend him.
He however challenged Ozuruigbo to come out and declare his stand on the platform he belongs to adding that PDP Nwangele would be glad to receive his resignation letter.
Contributing, the Assistant State Organizing Secretary of PDP in the state, Chief Benjamin Azuike expressed dismay over the attitude of Ozuruigbo towards the party, adding that soon, PDP will take a stand over his excesses.
He however advised the ward party members in the LGA to be steadfast and not to be carried away by the behaviour of Ozuruigbo, stressing that he will always support them with the little he has.
In his remarks, the Umuozu ward chairman of PDP, Mr Philip Alakwe thanked the chairman of the party in the area, Hon Justine Amadi for his doggedness and advised him to continue his good works.
In a related development, the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nwangele LGA has visited Amaigbo ward 1 as part of its LGA ward tours.
Addressing party faithful in the ward, Chairman of the party in Nwangele, Hon Justine Amadi stated that PDP has taken a new shape, as every warring faction in the party has come together.
He further pointed out that the Chairman of the party at the national level remains Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, adding that PDP has no division or factions.
He commended the members of the party in the ward for their commitment and steadfastness, adding that the party will soon take over Imo state.
In his response, the Chairman of the party in Amaigbo ward 1, Hon Okechukwu N thanked the leadership of PDP in the area for their giant strides and assured him of their loyalty.
Reacting to the allegation when contacted on phone, Ozuruigbo in a text message queried what the Nwangele chapter referred to as anti party, claiming that it is the Chairman that is involved in anti-party activities by unilaterally removing the Deputy Chairman, youth leader, treasurer and other officials.
“Who is doing anti-party, is it not him that is working with unknown persons as member of the Executive. He has killed the party in Nwangele People are leaving the party in enmasse” he added
Those who attended the ward tour include, Chief Steve Agbarakwe, Hon Justine Amadi, Hon John Ezihe, Chief Benjamin Azuike, Barr Stan Ofoma, while Sen. Hope Uzodinma supported it financially.
