Women in Owerri West LGA, last weekend, eulogized the virtues of Imo state first lady, Nneoma Rochas Okorocha lauding her pragmatic efforts to aid women and child development in the state.
Speaking at the reception organized in honour of Mrs Okorocha who visited Owerri West in continuation of this year’s August meeting, the member representing Owerri West in Imo state House of Assembly Hon. Innocent Eke praised the first lady and expressed satisfaction at the turn-out of women Owerri West for the event.
According to the lawmaker, everything that was done at occasion coincided the message the first lady brought to the people of Owerri West and which according to him was the theme of this year’s August meeting “Managing stress and Unity of purpose”,
Hon Eke also used the opportunity to appeal to the people of the area to exercise patience with the Okorocha led administration, promising that the rescue mission is at work and will in a short time ensure that the road leading to the local government headquarters will be completed.
Also speaking at the at the event the Sole Administrator, Hon Dr Prince Arnold Nelson expressed happiness at the at the people for trooping out en-masse to accord the August visitor a rousing welcome.
He however stated that Her Excellency has made August meeting a ceremonial affair.
