PDP Convention: Imo Aspirants End Zoning Arrangement, As Kema Chikwe, Chukwukere, Iwuanaynwu, Longers, Others Seek National Office

The stage is set for who becomes a national officer of the Peoples Democratic Party. The election is scheduled to hold this weekend in Abuja.
In the last count, several Imo indigenes have signified intentions to occupy some of the positions. Leading the pack is the former Minister and person who held the position few months ago, Dr (Mrs) Kema Chikwe. Dr (Mrs) Chikwe will slug it out for the National Woman Leader position with a former Commissioner in the State, Dr (Mrs) Gloria Chukwueke, Mrs Betty Nnadi and Mrs Orubele.
In the Public Relations Officer category, two Imolites, Longers Anyanwu and Chyna Iwuanyanwu will join others from South East Zone for the contest.
The varying interests of the PDP members have destroyed zoning pattern earlier adopted to choose national officers of the party declared willingness not to be a stumbling block to the interest of any of the aspirants. A reliable source told Trumpeta that the state party Chairman, Eze Duruiheoma (SAN) assured all aspirants of support.
In a related development, delegates to represent the interest of the party in Abuja comprise the PDP LGA Chairmen, elected Chairmen of the various councils and the LGA delegates.
