Groups Advocate Leadership Role for Nigerian Youths

Two groups, one local, the other an international body have jointly called on Nigerian Youths to prepare for leadership roles.
The groups, Youth Negotiators and Mediators of Nigeria (YONAMAN), in collaboration with Afri Peace and Development Fund (USA), made the clarion call at the 1st Nigerian Youth Peace Leadership Workshop with the theme “Building Nigeria future leaders Under a peace Architecture”.
Speaking at the first day of the program that will run till August 9th 2013, Mr Anthony Anyanwu, the co-ordinator of the NGO, described the workshop as a forum that will inspire Nigerian youths on conflict resolution, effective leadership as well as educating them on the ethics of being a good leader.
He went further to state that it is their utmost desire to produce men and women of dignity, substance and adequate potentials in the near future adding that Nigeria needs people who can lead in peace, love and unity.
The founder and Coordinator of Mission Age, Mr Ken Njoku in his expression said that the main objective of the program is to help support the development of the Youths not just in leadership but also in entrepreneurship.
He however said as a pioneer program, it will later reach out to the youths in diverse ways, stating that it will continuously encourage the youths to participate actively in seminars and workshops, because it will go a long way to assist them in the aspects of development.

Words of commendation and appreciation was rendered to Prof Ernest E. Uwazie who is the founder and co-ordinator of Afri Peace and Development Fund USA, for also finding time to put together the program geared towards nation building.
