The state PDP mobilization Chairman, Chief Jerry Chukwueke, has said that Peoples Democratic Party will beat other political parties in 2015 general election. This is in line with the active and formidable structure the party has assumed over the years. Saying, a fundamentalist political party like All Progressives Congress (APC) will not succeed in its secretarial approach to defeat PDP in 2015 to install a Muslim fundamentalist as president to destabilize Nigeria. He berates Governor Okorocha of being deceitful to Imo people, negation of rule of law, cheat and bias. Pointing out that Governor Okorocha’s mandate is a bad omen to Imo people. He advised APC to employ constructive criticism against PDP as there is nothing wrong with opposition political parties hence positive opposition is the soul and beauty of democracy.
Addressing a mammoth crowd at a mobilization rally, Okpofe Town Hall, Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA over the weekend, in sensitization of PDP members on the activities of the party and way forward to actualize political power in both state and federal levels in 2015, Chief Jerry Chukwueke emphatically told PDP faithfuls to always identify with, and remain solid in PDP so that their collective objective of gaining political power in 2015 will be achieved. He charged members not to sell out their franchise for mere pot of porridge as many PDP members did in 2011 general election which ushered in a prattler and deceitful person as Imo State Governor, as hunger and diseases have become the order of the day in Imo state.
The State PDP Mobilization Chairman stressed that PDP has a formidable political, economic and human structure to attract more developmental projects to the entire Nigerians.
“President Goodluck has done a lot of developmental projects execution in South East which are; PortHarcourt/Egbu road, PortHarcourt/Owerri road, Onitsha/Owerri road, second Niger Bridge dualization”, Chief Chukwueke stressed.
Chief Chukwueke argued that PDP government will be bent on creating jobs to the youths and empower the women when voted into power in 2015. He thanked Ezinihitte Mbaise PDP for their unity and commitment in PDP and for their massive turn out for the mobilization rally.
Earlier, in his speech, the PDP Chairman, Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA, Chief Chinemerem Madu, said since the inception of PDP in 1998, Ezinihitte PDP has been in unity. And gave assurance that they will be having party meeting in every two weeks. He assured that the 12 electoral wards in the LGA have set up committees who will man votes and deliver PDP in the 136 polling booths in the area.
Hon Oliver Enwerelem, Hon Obioma Ekenneya, Lady Chidimma Oparaocha and Mrs Getrude Iroemeh pleaded with party members to work collectively and remain firm in PDP to achieve victory in all ramifications in 2015.
Meanwhile, Ngor Okpala PDP Members have been told to remain faithful and proactive in PDP so that the party will move forward and achieve victory in subsequent elections.
Speaking at PDP mobilization rally recently at the PDP Secretariat in Umuneke Ngor Okpala LGA, the state PDP Mobilization Chairman, Chief Jerry Chukwueke, advised the people not to be disconnected because PDP government is a listening one who has human face. He charged party loyalists to pray fervently for the victory of PDP in 2015. Chukwueke used the opportunity to eulogized President Goodluck for his people-oriented government and painstaking measure in solving national problems.
Professor Jude Njoku, Enyinnaya Onuegbu, Charles Amadi, Blyden Amajirionwu, John Ekeh, Chief Clement Nwaigwe, Obinna Egwu pledged to always mobilize people to support PDP. They appreciated the state mobilization committee for their timely visit to Ngor Okpala LGA.
New members and those who decamped from PDP in both Ezinihitte Mbaise and Ngor Okpala LGAs were welcomed back to the party.
The United Progressive Party (UPP) has send a warning signal to other political parties in Nigeria ahead of 2015 general election, as they Inaugurate Imo State working Committee of the party with a vow to capture all the South East government houses and majority of other elective positions.
This hint was dropped by Chidi Emeagi who represented the Chairman of Imo State Working Committee, Prince Kenna George Njemanze in a Press Conference at the State Party Secretariat Ikenegbu, Owerri over the weekend.
It was also revealed that the party has lined out a two day programme in Imo state to inaugurate the state working committee, state party secretariat, and official launching of the party in the state at the Rosy Arts Theatre, Ikenegbu Owerri. According to the party, the day one will witness the arrival of the founder and National Chairman, Chief Chekwas Okorie and a courtesy call to the Traditional Rulers Chairman of Okigwe Zone, Eze Onweni, Owerri Zone, Eze Njemanze and the reinstate Eze Imo, Eze Cletus Ilomuanya. The inaugurations follow the next day.
Speaking further, Prince Njemanze, submitted that, Imo has not gotten it right since 1999 and averred that UPP is the only alternative party with progressives that believe in positive and people oriented change, and are ready to change the political and economic situation of the Imo state in particular and Nigeria in general for the better.
The party finally disclosed that they are ready to fill candidates in all elective position in 2015 general election.
