Following recent developments trailing the forthcoming Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mini Convention in Abuja, there is every indications that things are not at ease within Imo PDP family, with series of claims and counter claims by individuals and group.
Recently, in a publication by an Owerri based newspaper, there were claims by some individuals that the state PDP caucus has adopted a certain aspirant as their anointed candidate for the post of PRO.
However, in a swift counter reaction, a PRO hopeful, Chief Chyna Iwuanyanwu rebuffed the adoption claim saying it is a gang up of some cabals who has done nothing than brought defeat and shame to the party, out of their selfish reasoning.
The veteran Journalist in a recent press conference maintained that nobody/group has the moral right and justification to adopt a candidate against the wish of other aspirants. He holds that every candidate has the right to contest, win or lose as a bonified party member. He disclosed that the PRO and Woman Leader is zoned to South East, not state or individual.
Chief Chyna Iwuanyanwu revealed that he has been consulting with the national and regional party caucus and he has come to consult the state caucus. He declared that with the level of consultation he has made, his over 30 years experience in public relations, and his commitment to the progress of the party, he is not afraid of the election proper.
The Nwangele-born PDP Chieftain cautioned the said cabals to refresh on the consequences of their previous of adoption formula to the party and desists from the act that has brought unwarranted challenges to the party.
However, Chief Iwuanyanwu commended the administration and transformation prowess of Mr President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and his team, which brought about the Mini Convention.
Reacting on the recent INEC registration of APC, he argued that the newly registered merger party APC, is not a threat to any party let alone the PDP. He went further to emphasis that the APC do not have anything good to offer Nigerians, if not Vendatta, as they are group of loser from other parties including PDP.
