An erstwhile, state Chairman of Imo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Marcel Nlemigbo recently at a traditional wedding in Obazu Mberi rallied support for the incumbent Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha come 2015.
Some bookmakers expressed shock over the development considering the unrelenting effort of his kinsmen from Owerri zone to produce the next governor of the state and the earlier promise of Governor Okorocha to run just for a term.
The Umudagu Mbieri born construction magnate dropped this hint in his opening remarks as the Chairman of the said wedding, in his word “I have seen men and women of timber and caliber from all nooks and cranny of the state here, we also know that this event is put in place by our governor, I therefore call on all of us to rally around him come 2015 like we have gathered here today
It was reported that, the statement was trailed with mix reaction from the crowd, some in support and a larger number most of whom are from the Owerri zone murmured in disapproval of the call.
Surprisingly, the event which was organised by the rescue mission faithful saw some PDP Chieftains in attendant, leading the pack was Chief Chikwem Onuoha from Okigwe zone .
