Iwuchukwu Urges Ministries To Train Good Successors

The out-gone Commissioner in the Ministry of Planning and Urban Development, Prof Chima Iwuchukwu recently enjoined the staff of the Ministry to always endeavour to train especially the junior ones in accordance with civil service Rules to enable them become good successors which will enhance productivity in the civil service.
Prof. Iwuchukwu who gave the advice in his office during the handover ceremony, stated the importance of unity and understanding as a bedrock to development, saying that any ministry that lacks it will remains stagnant.
Speaking to Journalists, the Prof of Education thanked the Governor of Imo state for giving him the opportunity to serve his state in the capacity as the commissioner as he highlighted some of the achievements of the ministry.
The achievements which include, the introduction of Sikorsky Aircraft connection U.S.A in Imo state to construct Aircraft Hanger which after construction will not only create job opportunities for the youths but will train them on how to be pilots in the state.
The ministry has also entered into a relationship with the shoprite company to build an international shopping mall in the state. He also stated that preparations made to up the statistical year Book that will contain the number and population of Imolites and their data’s. The ministry has set up, the cover circular for 2014 Budget and has also approved 2013/2014 Budget to be published and also approved 2013/14 budget to be and public and all the achievements are in Imo state website.
Speaking on behalf of the staff, the permanent secretary Mr Bismarck Eziohuru thanked the commissioner stating that his stay with the ministry though was short but has taught them a lot and called on God to re-appoint him through the governor so as to complete the projects which he has started to be.
