Politicians Must Learn to Respect Ndi Eze- SETRC

Obinugwu is gradually becoming the Mecca of the South East following the recent appeal court victory of the Obi of Obinugwu Eze (Dr) Cletus Ilomuanya over his unconstitutional and illegal removal as the Chairman of Imo state traditional ruler council by Governor Rochas Okorocha.
On Sunday 28th of July 2013 the entire leadership of the South East States traditional Rulers Council under the auspices of South East council of Traditional ruler were on a solidarity pilgrimage to Obinugwu to rejoice and show their alloyed support to their Chairman Eze Ilomuanya over his appeal court victory and examplary leadership styles.
In their different submission, the council leaders of Abia, Eze John Akaniro, Anambra, Eze Gibson Nwosu, Enugu Igwe Ekene Ogbonna, and Eze Anayo Durueburuo from Imo, testified their over joy and happiness on the way and manner the Obi of Obinugwu handled the issue even under incontrollable provocation. They went further to submitted that his victory is a victory for Igbo tradition and culture, and pledge their supports and allegiance to his leadership. They also thanked the Obi for raising the dignitary of Ndi Eze Igbo and protecting it.
However, the custodians of the Igbo culture and tradition in the South Eat states sent a note of warning across to politicians in the region to learn to respect the traditional rulers whose reign is till death unlike the four or eight time of the politicians face the wrath of the land.
Consequently, they advised the governor to swallow his pride and adhere to the rule of law as he preaches.
In his response the Obi of Obinugwu, thanked the Ezes for their kind gesture, support and prayers as the struggle lasted. He told them that they are his strength, wisdom, courage and determination because any time he remembers them he is filled with spiritual support and backing. Eze Ilomuanya went ahead to assure them of more qualitative leadership.
