Imo Assembly Clerk In ICPC Net .As Flood Take Over State Complex The list of public office holders and civil servants from Imo state visiting as guests of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission, ICPC, is growing daily with the Clerk of the Imo State House of Assembly, Barr Chris Duru joining the cue.

As at the time of going to press, Trumpeta learnt that Barr Duru is reportedly telling the anti-fraud commission all he knows concerning the alleged contract scam that ravaged the state especially abuse of contract award.

Our correspondent, who monitored events in the House of Assembly, learnt that the Assembly Clerk jetted to Abuja yesterday morning to face ICPC interrogators over certain allegations. The Clerk was absent from office and dependable sources confirmed that he was in Abuja for the ICPC invitation.

It was further gathered that the Clerk and co-workers worked throughout the weekend to strengthen several files and documents related to the ICPC inquiries.

Top sources in ICPC further confirmed the presence of Duru at ICPC headquarters in Abuja and reported that he is undergoing grills.
Meanwhile, flood has again taken over most of the offices as a result of the open roof of the gigantic Assembly complex. For the umpteenth time; flood has occupied most of the offices as a result of rainfall that entered through the open roof.
The offices where the lawmakers and staff do their business were mostly affected.
