As the 2015 Governorship election approaches, a Stakeholders political Summit has been billed for next Friday, July 12, where who is who from the three political Zones of Imo State are expected to attend.
According to the organizers of the Summit discussions, will centre on Charter of Equity, in order to maintain the peaceful coexistence of the three political Zones in Imo State.
The political Zones are Owerri, Okigwe and Orlu.
The maiden Imo Political Summit which will hold at All Seasons Hotel, Owerri, will have the theme, “Restoring the Imo Charter of Equity; Elites and Socio-political Development of Imo State”.
Trumpeta was told that only equitable distribution of political offices in the state among the three zones will bring peace and development in Imo State, one of the organizers, Chief Ethelbert Ukonu said.
The Summit dominated by members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has Chief Chris Asoluka as one of the Speakers.
Expected are Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu and all the Senators from the three Imo political zones and members of House of Representatives.
The Special Guest of honour is the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, while guests of honour include Dr Kema Chikwe, Chief Leo Stan Eke, Prof Jude Njoku, Chief Mike Ahamba, Dr Walter Ofonagoro, Captain Emmanuel Iheanacho, Chief Jerry Chukwueke, Chief Tony Chukwu and others.
