Agbala Community Coronates Onu As Eze

The market square of Agbala ancient kingdom in Owerri North Council area of Imo state was filled to its capacity last weekend when the Managing Director of Soul Brothers petroleum Ltd, Chief Malachy Okechukwu onu was officially coronnated as Eze of the Community.
All stake-holders citizens of Agbala including youths, elders Chief Isaac Abaleke (people’s mayor) and Eze Jude Chidi Nwaogu (Chidiebube 1 of Egbelu Obube) witnessed the event with which Okenze C.A Anyadike relinquished power bestowed upon him as regent to “Ndioha” for the confirmation of new Eze of the community.
Presiding over the coronation, the regent who united with “Ndioha” to ensure that the event left a tremendous mark in the annals of Agbala ancient kingdom, revealed that Chief Onu was elected the third traditional ruler of the kingdom adding that history has shown that Agbala has never recorded untimely death of its royal father.
Earlier, Eze Chidiebube described the gesture as the hallmark for peace and community development adding that Okenze C.A. Anyadike deserves commendation for restoring peaceful co-existence in the community since the demise of HRH Eze Leo Onyeneke.
He advised his new counterpart Eze Onu to continue his good works that lured his people to vote him as the Monarch of the community, adding that the long live of royal fathers relies on their virtues of justice.
In his speech, the newly Monarch, HRH Eze Malachy Okechukwu Onu said that his elevation would be a symbol of peace, harmony and development in Agbala adding that it was a call for service and metamorphosis of nick name (Eze) as he was fondly called by his people.
Eze Onu reiterated that he would carry everybody along so as to promote peace in the community.
