They thug of war raging between the State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha and the organized Labour in the State has ceased, at least momentarily for now.
This followed acceptance of some of the conditions demanded by the Labour, which led it to go on warning strike on May 29, 2012, whileNigeriawas celebrating Democracy Day.
According to the report reaching Imo Trumpeta, Governor Okorocha has agreed to dump his commercialization policy of Ministries, Departments and Agencies MDA, which was of the crux of the matter.
The Governor has also agreed to suspend the posting of Imo Civil Servants to villages for the Fourth Tier Government, which his administration is pursuing.
In all, the Governor has concurred not to discriminate against any official or worker for the strike which crippled Economy of the State, for the two days it lasted.
In a release signed by the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Imo state Chapter Chairman Dr Reginald Anyadike, it directed all Civil servants in the State to go back to work, but warned that the Labour would proceed on another strike if there is any sign of insincerity from the Government.
