Federal Lawmaker Commissions Civic Centre

 

The city of Owerri, the state capital of Imo was thrown into Jubilation with hearts filled with gratitude on Sunday, April, 2013,  Hon Chief Ezenita Onyewuchi, member represneting Owerri Federal Constituency in the House of Reps, commissioned an edifying civic-centre, whicti he built for the elders as his ‘thank’ you project. The social centre built at Ugwu-Ekwema presents a-state-of-the-arts perfection of a structure. It houses an ultra-modern conference hall, some offices and conveniences.
Chief Christian Anukam (Owaya), the President-General of Owerri Community Assembly thanked honourable Ezenwa Onyewuchi for giving the decision-making elders and indeed all Owerrians a sense of belonging and enjoined him to continue, with more beneficial projects. He stressed on the basic needs of Owerri constituency as light, pipe-borne water and road reconstruction. In a similar appeal, Hon. Innocent Eke representing Owerri-West in the state House of Assembly requested for  similar projects in Owerri West for the tripod of Owerri Federal Constituency to be complete. The Honourable member representing Owerri Municipal at the State House of Assembly-Hon Victor Mere craved for more people-oriented programmes. Other personalities included Hon Justice Duke Njiribeako (RTD) former Chief Justice of Imo State, Sir Herbert Nwedike, the President-General of Udo-Diri-Ndom-Owere Women-Lady Comfort Mere host Onyeisi-Oha-Owere-Ben Anukam, A-two-time commissioner in Imo State Hon Chief Analyn Nwaneri and a hot of others.
Hon Onyewuchi responded  to the applause of the crowd.
Hon Ezenwa Onyewuchi took stock of his achievements since voted into the Federal House of Representatives. He also leashed his plans for future development. It will be recalled that he had sponsored and supported some bills in the House.
