Adapalm Landlord Asso. Wahala Plot to Recall Luke Chukwu Thickens

The lingering leadership crisis bedeviling Adapalm Landlord Association is taking another dimension as aggrieved Ohaji/Egbema constituents are firing on all cylinders to ensure that their representative at the Imo State House of Assembly, Chief Luke Chukwu is recalled with immediate effect.

Quest over Adapalm Landlord Association leadership is brewing crisis among members of the political class in Ohaji/Egbema especially those of APGA extraction.

Following the election held to usher in a new executive, crisis erupted again as some warring factions petitioned relevant government authorities to discredit the landlord’s body.

Piqued by the alleged interference of the member representing Ohaji/Egbema in the State Assembly, Hon Chukwu, who is being accused of fanning the ember of discord and confusion in his constituency by working against the interest of the people of the area, a group is campaigning for his recall.

Leading the campaign for Chukwu’s recall is Barr Ike Ezekwe, whose position as Chairman of Adapalm Landlord Association has been a subject of controversy. Barr Ezekwe told Trumpeta that arrangements are in top gear for Chukwu’s recall adding that the member of a state legislature is a big minus and great disappointment to the people of Ohaji/Egbema.

According to Ezekwe, “Chukwu must Go. He is a big disappointment to Ohaji/Egbema who he represents in Imo Assembly. Ohaji/Egbema people have had quality representation in the past beginning from Chief JohnBosco Ben, Dr Goddy Esom Obodo and lately Rt. Hon Goodluck Opiah. These lawmakers gave our people the best of “constituency representation that became a landmark unlike what we are going through in the hands of Chukwu. In the past when we had vibrant representatives, Ohaji/Egbema voice was heard. But today, nothing from Chukwu than trouble. Instead of concentrating with his legislative duties, Chukwu’s interest is only on Adapalm Landlord Association.

“We are seeking his recall with cogent reasons, as he has nothing to show for our mandate in the House. No constituency briefing from him. No tangible results of his representation”, he added.

When contacted, a media to Hon Chukwu Mazi Onyejulu Jacobs refereed Ezekwe and cohorts as charlatans seeking cheap popularity in the name of recall adding that they are jealous of the lawmaker’s resounding achievements after two years in office.

“It is a blatant lie from Ezekwe and the likes of Gideon Meffor that Chukwu has nothing to show as representative of Ohaji/Egbema people. Chukwu few weeks ago summoned stakeholders briefing to showcase his achievements but was shunned by the likes of Meffor and Co”.

While referring Ezekwe’s expressions as rantings of a drowning man leading a frustrated group, the media aide claimed that Chukwu is one of the outstanding lawmakers in Imo Assembly as he has six Bills and several motions to his credit.
