Sen Anyanwu Flags Off N7.8b Mbaise Ngwa Ring Road

All is now set for the flagging-off of the multi-billion Naira Mbaise  Ngwa road ring attracted by Senator Chris Anyanwu, the Distinguished Senator representing Owerri Senatorial zone.

According to press statement signed by Mr. Everest Ezihe, Media consultant to the ranking senator, the ceremony will comes up by 11am this Friday at Afor Ogbe Junction in Ahiazu Mbaise Council area of Imo State and will be officiated by Arch. Mike Onolememen, the Honourable Minister of Works with some senior officials of the Ministry and Presidency.

Onolememen while expressing gratitude to Senator Anyanwu for her doggedness and patriotism in facilitating and attracting the project noted that, the construction of the Mbaise  Ngwa Road with bridge at Imo River in Imo / Abia States as Phase 1 was carefully chosen for rehabilitation and improvement due to the manifold socio-economic benefits it will confer on the good people of the States and Nigerians at large.

The Minister assured that the project when completed will considerably reduce travel time, traffic related fatalities, and vehicle operating costs, and also promote even larger and more considerable tenets, such as poverty alleviation, employment generation, boosting socio-economic activities and wealth creation in the zone.

Meanwhile, Senator Anyanwu who is the Senate Committee Chairman on Navy has passionately appealed to all friends and serious stakeholders in the socio-economic development of the senatorial zone as well as the state to attend the historical flag-off ceremony noting that the express road is the only Federal road approved by the federal government for the state in this year’s budget.
